In this set of videos, Jaqui provides an introduction to basic NIM (Network Installation Manager) for AIX. The session will cover how to setup a basic NIM server in order to use NIM to provision LPARs or servers. There will also be a discussion on setting up and using FBO (file backed optical) to supplement NIM and the use of techniques such as NIMADM and alternate disk install as well as integration with VIO servers.
